The 2010 Cadillac SRX is a five-door, five-passenger front engine transaxle; front-wheel-drive/all-wheel-drive mid-luxury crossover vehicle with a completely new design and more-efficient, high-technology engine choices. Designed for efficient performance, including a choice of two high-tech six-cylinder engines that are new to Cadillac, the 2010 Cadillac SRX features the smallest-displacement engines it offers in North America.

The all new 2010 Cadillac SRX is a fresh and compelling crossover aimed squarely at the priorities of luxury buyers. It rides on a wide track that was designed to deliver a nimble and responsive driving experience. It seats five, has generous occupant and cargo room, and can tow up to 3,500 pounds. A multi-piece shield grille and Cadillac's iconic vertical headlamps - with light pipe technology and available adaptive forward lighting are the key exterior features. Eighteen-inch wheels are standard and 20-inch wheels are available. On the inside, an integrated center stack houses controls for climate and audio systems, while the navigation system rises from the center of the instrument panel. The Cadillac script logos in the front door sill plates illuminate when the doors are opened. The 2010 SRX features a number of advanced electronic features like a "pop-up" navigation screen featuring 3D imaging; adaptive forward lighting that swivels the headlamps in sync with vehicle steering; power liftgate with adjustable height setting; integrated hard disk drive for audio storage, and a dual-screen system for rear entertainment. Bluetooth compatibility is standard and OnStar's turn-by-turn navigation service is available.

The new SRX is powered by a new, fuel-efficient direct injected 3.0L V6 engine that delivers an estimated 265 horsepower and 223 lb-ft of torque paired with a six-speed automatic transmission achieving an estimated 10 to 15 percent fuel economy improvement. A new, 2.8L turbocharged V6 engine rated at 300 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque is optional. Both engines employ technology that helps produce strong performance that is typical of larger-displacement engines. An AF40 Aisin Warner six-speed transverse, electronically controlled, automatic overdrive transmission is available on the model. The fuel economy is rated at 18/24 mpg city/highway for FWD, 17/23 for AWD with 3.0L V6 engine and 15/21 (AWD only) with 2.8L turbocharged V6 engine.

The 2010 Cadillac SRX's safety features are designed to protect occupants before, during, and in the event of a crash. Notable safety features include standard head curtain side airbags, standard front seat-mounted pelvic/thorax side airbags, front safety belts with dual pretensioners and load limiters, rollover mitigation sensors, a pedal release system, trailer stability assist, and OnStar.
