Review of the 2010 Ford F-150

2010 F-150

Introduction
The 2010 Ford F-150 is a three-passenger full-size pick-up truck available in seven trims including a new luxury trim Platinum and three body styles - regular, extended, and crew cab. The Ford F-150 is one of the best selling full size pick-up trucks in the United States for the past 30 years. Its payload and towing numbers are the best-in-class. For 2010, Ford adds the SVT Raptor to the F-150 line up. The 2010 Ford F-150 Special Vehicle Team (SVT) Raptor, as Ford describes, is a purpose-built, high-performance off-road truck versatile enough to take on the most challenging desert adventures as well as the everyday commute. It is powered by a 5.4-liter Triton V-8 making 310 horsepower and 365 lb.-ft of torque. A 6.2-liter V-8 engine is optional.

Exterior Design and Special Features
The 2010 Ford F-150 comes in various trims like XL, STX, XLT, FX4, and Lariat. It is versatile with 4x2 or 4x4 drive systems, three cab styles, various pick-up box designs, and plenty of optional features. This full size pick-up truck can be modified using a number of combinations to suit a customers' tastes and needs. Cargo box lamp that is integrated into the center high-mounted stop lamp; four cargo box tie-downs; easy fuel capless fuel-filler system; aerodynamic clear-lens dual-beam halogen headlamps; stake-bed pockets; removable tailgate with key lock and tailgate assist; two front tow hooks (4x4 only); and intermittent windshield wipers are some of the standard exterior features on the 2010 F-150. Inside, a Sony AM/FM stereo/6-disc in-dash CD changer with MP3 capability; auxiliary audio input jack; speed compensated volume control and information display with compass; Ford SYNC system with steering wheel-mounted audio/SYNC controls; auto-dimming rearview mirror with microphone and power moonroof with one-touch-open/-close; and overhead console with single storage bin are optional features.

Engine
The 2010 Ford F-150 is available with five engine choices: a 248-hp 4.6L 2-valve V8 with a 4-speed automatic transmission; a 292-hp 4.6L 3-valve V8 teamed to a 6-speed automatic transmission; a 292-hp 4.6L 3-valve V8 (SFE) coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission; a 310-hp 5.4L 3-valve V8 (gas) that comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission; and a 320-hp 5.4L 3-valve V8 (E85) with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
